3 Keypoints From: The Good Ground

For you to sow on good ground and reap bountiful harvests, you must do the following:
  • Honour God with your resources, cheerfully support God’s work financially, and obey all His principles for financial success. (Proverbs 3:9-10, 2 Corinthians 9:7)
  • Give to the poor and the needy: Be generous. (Proverbs 19:17)
  • Wait for God’s instructions before making financial decisions. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

  • “If you have been sowing your seeds by the wayside, on stony ground, or among thorns, the good news is that if you change your ways and start living by the principles above, you will experience the harvest that comes from sowing on good ground.”

MEMORISE: And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. (Mark 4:8)

3 Keypoints From: The Thorny Ground

  • When people lead lifestyles that drain them financially because they want to show off, they are sowing on thorny ground.
  • If you have friends who spend lavishly without counting the cost, you might follow suit and end up in debt. (Psalm 1:1)
  • Thorns can also refer to things that cause pockets to have holes. If all you care about is yourself, you are filling your ground with thorns because selfishness chokes God’s blessings upon a man’s life.

  • “Can God trust you to continue to put Him first after He has blessed you financially? Will you still care for His kingdom when you arrive at your desired financial destination?”

PRAYER POINT: Father, search my heart and take away every thorny attitude that will keep me from accessing your wisdom for financial abundance, in Jesus’ name.

MEMORISE: And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. (Mark 4:7)

4 Keypoints From: The Stony Ground

  • The major problem with a stony ground is that it does not retain water sufficiently for the seeds planted in it to grow.
  • When people invest in ventures that God is not involved in, they are planting seeds on stony grounds.
  • Any investment that goes against Biblical principles, such as hard work, diligence, faithfulness, patience, and contentment, is a stony ground.
  • Those who hasten to be rich will not be innocent (Proverbs 28:20), and such people will end up piercing themselves through with many sorrows. ( 1 Timothy 6:10)

  • PRAYER POINT: Father, help me not to sow on stony grounds. Please guide my sowing and bless the work of my hands, in Jesus’ name.

MEMORISE: And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: (Mark 4:5)

    3 Keypoints From: The Wayside

  • Some scholars have suggested that the wayside refers to money spent on regular wild parties and other similar vices.
  • Only fools spend everything they have at once. (Proverbs 21:20) Some people spend all their earnings recklessly.
  • When believers, including ministers of God, steal God’s money or take anything that doesn’t belong to them without permission from the owners, they are exposing themselves to the devil’s attacks.

  • PRAYER POINT: Father, please show me every way l might have been wasteful, and help me to make amends, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

MEMORISE: “And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.” (Mark 4:4)

    3 Keypoints From: Financial Wisdom

  • Job 36:11 tells us a secret to accessing God’s wisdom for financial prosperity: obey and serve Him. He will show you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches in secret places (Isaiah 45:3).
  • When you obey God, He will give you supernatural ideas that will make you thrive in the midst of famine, just as He gave Isaac.
  • If you serve Him grudgingly or carelessly, He will not trust you with the wisdom to make wealth. Jesus told us not to cast our pearls before swine (Matthew 7:6-7); He won’t cast His before swine too.

  • “Obeying and serving the Lord will give you access to His wisdom for financial prosperity.”

MEMORISE: With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding. (Job 12:13)

    3 Keypoints From: Jehovah Tsidkenu

  • The world is not our standard; the Lord is. If you are not righteous before Him, then you are not righteous.
  • Knowing God as your righteousness will set you free from trying to please Him by your power. (Zechariah 4:6)
  • It is not by how many laws and commandments you can keep but by how yielded you are to the Holy Spirit.

  • “When you surrender your life to Jesus Christ, He becomes your righteousness, and He gives you the Holy Spirit to guide you.”

MEMORISE: For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (Romans 10:4)

    7 Keypoints From: Jehovah Shalom

  • Anyone who hasn’t given his or her life to Jesus cannot experience His peace.
  • When people surrender their lives to Jesus Christ, they feel a great peace within them. This is a common experience to everyone in Christ.
  • When you surrender to God, you will realise that you have been carrying a heavy load in your heart for so long.
  • Jehovah Shalom lifts that load off you and gives you peace. Jesus described this in Matthew 11:28:
  • God wants to give you peace from all your struggles, but you must hand your burdens over to Him; you cannot carry them alone.
  • God’s peace is in degrees. The more you know Him, the greater your peace becomes. (Psalm 119:165)
  • Jehovah Shalom wants to multiply His peace in your life and in the lives of your descendants, but for Him to do so, you must love His laws and ways.

  • MEMORISE: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)

    3 Keypoints From: Jehovah Nissi

  • God fights for His children whenever they are being threatened.
  • When people gather against you, do not fret. Rather, rest in the Lord, who is your mighty protector, defender, and refuge.
  • No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). He will save your children from the hands of the enemy and preserve all that concerns you.

  • “When satan started a riot in heaven, God didn’t move a finger; He just let Michael, the archangel, deal with the situation. However, when it comes to His children, He rises in defence of them. (Revelation 12, Deuteronomy 28:7)

MEMORISE: The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. (Exodus 14:14)

    Keypoint From: Jehovah Jireh

You don't need to know how God will provide for your needs. All you need do is trust Him and know that He will provide.

Prayer Point: Father, please send help to me today, in Jesus’ name.
