The flesh and the Spirit are in constant war; if the flesh wins (making you to commit sin), ulitmately, the devil wins. -Galatians 5:17

A major way of subduing the flesh is by fasting often (you must fast to remain in the light of Christ)

The dispensation of grace entails fasting; according to Jesus' directive. -Matthew 9:14-14 (Even Paul, Apostle of Grace fasted often -2 Corinthians 9:24-27

“Set apart some days for fasting and praying; make it your lifestyle.”

This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

The person who will be watched does not go around watching people.

Pray like you will not work, and work like you will not pray.

If you're lazy, even God will not use you. (He needs diligent people;) -Hebrews 11:6

“If you want to be great, you cannot be spending countless hours watching videos on social media.”

If you're lazy, (the word of God says) you will suffer hunger. -Proverbs 19:15

Only those who are diligent will rise to the level of ruling others. -Proverbs 12:24

One thing is very clear from the Scriptures: God wants us to be prosperous. -2 Corinthians 8:9, Deuteronomy 8:18, 3 John 2, Psalm 128:1-2

God wants you to use that wealth to build His Kingdom. -Zechariah 1:17

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; -1 Timothy 6:17

It is wiser to consider the end of an action (in line with God's word), above the benefit of doing it.

Cheating attracts a radioactive (swiftly decaying) lifespan. -Deuteronomy 25:15

Even if some cheaters are getting rich at the moment, yet, they're guaranteed of terrible ending/legacy. -Psalm 73:3-20

“It is better to climb up steadily and honestly than to engage in schemes that will end in destruction.”

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in the spirit is better than the proud in spirit. -Ecclesiastes 7:8

If you make vow casually, that you're unable to fulfill, God sees you as a fool. -Ecclesiastes 5:4

A vow is like a deal; not fulfilling vows is like stealing, it is criminal.

It is those who pay their vows that can decree a thing, and is established. -Job 22:27-29

“Pay your vows today and ask God's mercy for those you made and never paid.”

When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed -Ecclesiastes 5:4

A maturing christian must become teachers of the word (which is possible if you study, rather than just read the Bible). -Hebrew 5:12

You read to be informed, but study to be transformed; making you long to see transformation in others (thereby pushing you to start teaching)

Miracles are not exclusive reserve of pastors, but for all Christians. (Start healing the sick and casting out demons too) -Mark 16:17

“Be deliberate about your spiritual growth because our Lord Jesus Christ expects you to grow in Him, performing greater works that He did during His earthly ministry -John 14:12”

A Christian that is growing spiritually:

Proactively thinks about what he/she can do for God, rather that what God can do for them. (Stops being parasitic).

Becomes so eager to give generously, in sponsoring the progress of God's Kingdom.

Becomes increasingly responsible and sacrificial (ready to both spend and be spent).

If you're still complaining or moody whenever there's need to be met in the Church, you've not been growing at all.

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. -Hebrews 5:11:-14

Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

Men of low degree [in the social scale] are emptiness (futility, a breath) and men of high degree [in the same scale] are a lie and a delusion. In the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.

What will keep you standing in the day of adversity, is how much strength you've gathered before that period. -Proverbs 24:10

The bigger tests you pass, the more you mature. Yet, you'll never be tempted beyond your capacity. -1 Corinthians 10:13

“If you keep your Christian walk on the shallow level, you are likely to look back eventually and not make it to the Kingdom of God at the end of the day!”

Fresh Christians are never too big to dance (always joyful in the house of God; never outgrows praising God). -2 Samuel 6:14

Fresh christian submits to authority God has placed over them.

“God can commence, and ensure your steady upward progress if only you don't become 'too familiar' with Him”
