  • Many people don't have a problem with asking for help from someone 'superior' to them, but find it difficult to seek help from people they consider beneath them. (This sort of attitude robs many people of their blessings)
  • This year, don't let pride hold you back from the help you can get to fulfil your destiny.
  • Any level of self-esteem that makes people afraid to approach you is pride.
  • Remember, God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. -James 4:6

  • I will open my mouth and tell God exactly how things are with me. (rather than pretending that all is well, when all is not).
  • I will not wait until I am about to lose things that are precious to me before I cry out like the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7 did.

    • “This year, ensure that you do not pretend or form before God. Tell Him exactly where the shoe hurts. Ask Him for help more thant ever before, and He will surely answer you. -Matthew 21:22”

    2 Keypoints From: New Year Resolution 1

    “Jacob laboured for 14 years to get the woman he wanted to marry while Isaac simply took a stroll and came back with a wife; One had favour, the other exerted labour. -Genesis 29:18-30, 24:63-67”

    As a resolution, take some deliberate steps towards basking in diving favour for the rest of your life, by deciding that:
  • I will praise and worship God intentionally, with all my heart and strength, speaking of His Goodness. -Psalm 103:1
  • Like David who also enjoyed divine favour all through his life, I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth. -Psalm 34:1, -Psalm 145:1-2

    • Spend some quality time praising God today and make this a daily practice going forward.

    MEMORISE: While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. -Psalm 146:2

    Prayers For The New Year

  • Father, I praise and thank You for the gift of this New Year. Thank you so much for seeing me through 2023; I am grateful, Lord.
  • Father, help me to live holy all through this year. Help me to please You at all times, in Jesus' name.
  • Lord, this year, help me to love You more than ever before. Help me to live wholly for You, always doing Your will, in Jesus' name.
  • Father, in this New Year, please uproot anything that is not of You from my life and family, in Jesus' name.
  • Lord, please give me fresh fire this year. Let me draw closer to You and win souls more than ever before, in Jesus' name. Please, anoint me with fresh zeal for You, Lord.
  • Father, please use me more than ever before this year. Help me and every member of my family to serve You more than ever before, in Jesus' name.
  • Father, please fill my life with great testimonies of your goodness throughout this year and beyond, in Jesus' name.

    Prayers For Year 2024

    PRAYERS:
  • Thank You Lord for keeping me safely to the end of year 2023. Thank You, Lord.
  • Father, please let Your presence go with me into year 2024 and rebuke every plan of the enemy concerning me, in Jesus’ name.
  • Father, please help me to let go of everything that will not glorify Your name. Let me please You all through 2024 and beyond, in Jesus’ name.
  • Father, please don’t let me miss out on the great things You will do in 2024, in Jesus’ name.
  • Father, please let me do more for You in 2024 than I have ever done before, in Jesus’ name.
  • Father, everyone who is destined to help me in 2024, please bring them my way and let them not rest until they have helped me.

    3 Keypoints From: Don′t Be Greedy

  • You create a problem for your family when you are greedy. A greedy person ambushes his own life. -Proverbs 1:17-19
  • What you are greedily desiring can be yours if only you will patiently go through the right process.
  • Greed is an invitation to take unlawfully what is not yours. A greedy fellow has no gratitude for God's blessings in his or her life and believes in snatching what belong to others.

    • “For some greedy people, either their real pain is on the way, or they are hiding it, while showing off their ill-gotten wealth, parading themselves as smart. Don't get tempted to become like them.”

    Memorise: He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live. -Proverbs 15:27

    Those who allow greed to override contentment in their lives will eventually lose what they have.
