Open Up To Him

  • The devil cannot flee from you if you have not submitted totally to God. James 4:7 says clearly that you should submit yourself unto God, then resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
  • Jesus will not force Himself into your heart unless you open the door to Him voluntarily. If He keeps knocking on a person’s heart and the person keeps refusing to open, a day will come when it will be too late for the person to open his or her heart to Him again.
  • While some are even church workers and ministers, but they are really not different from people in the world. When a person truly submits to the Lordship of Jesus, He becomes the supreme authority over such a fellow’s life.

  • “When darkness reigns in a person’s life, failure, defeat, sorrow, retrogression, and every evil thing will fill such a fellow’s life. Can you truly say that Jesus, the Light, is in total control of your life?

MEMORISE: (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)2 Corinthians 6:2

    Maintain Your Freedom (2)

  • To sustain your freedom, you must allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in all you do. Let Him be Lord of your thoughts, words, and actions. Where He is Lord, no demon can thrive.
  • To keep walking in freedom, you must know the truth in God’s word and immerse yourself in it so that it fills your heart. His word is the truth, and when you know the truth, it will make you free. (John 8:32)
  • Joshua 1:8 reveals that a major key to having good success in life is meditating on God’s word day and night. To keep the devil perpetually out of your life, let God’s word dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16).

  • “How important is God’s word to you? How highly do you esteem God’s instructions and directions? If you want to sustain the liberty you have received from God, you must allow Jesus Christ to be your Lord and place topmost priority on God’s word.”

MEMORISE: He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.Psalm 107:20

    Maintain Your Freedom (1)

  • Although deliverance from satanic bondage doesn’t require any monetary payment, it comes at a cost. The first price a fellow must pay to walk in freedom is total surrender to Jesus.
  • People who toy with sin attract demons, and demons come with different kinds of bondage.
  • When someone who is delivered from demonic possession returns to the sin that gave the devil room to possess him or her in the first place, the fellow will end up worse than before (Luke 11:24-26).
  • If a person becomes possessed by a demon of sexual perversion through watching pornography and God delivers him or her, that person must never return to watching it.

  • “If you have any habit or secret sin that can open you up to the enemy’s attacks, ask God to deliver you and seek counsel from a genuine minister of God.”

MEMORISE: And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove themEphesians 5:11

    The Meal That Delivers

  • Eating the Holy Communion worthily and with understanding empowers you to have dominion in every area of your life.
  • Just as the Holy Communion brings deliverance, it can also bring bondage and damnation when eaten unworthily (1 Corinthians 11:28-30).
  • Those who eat it unworthily are those who have not surrendered their lives to Jesus and those who have confessed Him as their Lord and Saviour but still engage secretly in sin.

  • “If you still engage in sin, please ensure you repent and surrender all to Jesus today. Doing this gives you a brand-new beginning (2 Corinthians 5:17) and qualifies you to become a child of God so you can enjoy all the blessings that come from eating this special meal.”

MEMORISE: By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;Hebrews 10:20

    Dealing With Demonic Possession

  • It is a very terrible thing to be possessed by a demon. When demons take possession of a person, everything in his or her life is affected negatively.
  • The devil does not respect the social, educational, or financial status of his victims, and he also determines, as he pleases, the number of demons that will possess them.
  • There are many instances in the Bible where Jesus set a person free from the devil’s affliction by just speaking a word. When He sends His word, healing and deliverance follow. (Psalm 107:20)

  • “No matter the level of demonic possession a fellow might be experiencing, he or she can be delivered through prayers and the power in God’s word.”

MEMORISE: When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:Matthew 8:16

    Dealing With Demonic Obsession

  • Most cases of obsession are demonically induced and often lead to the destruction of the victim unless God intervenes.
  • A person obsessed with food can never stop eating. A believer is in this situation, will be unable to fast and will become an easy target for the enemy.
  • Some people’s obsession is alcohol; they cannot stop drinking. Substance abuse and uncontrollable sexual desires are other forms of obsession.
  • The devil often turns people’s inordinate affections to obsessions aimed at destroying them. He will usually make them fight anyone who attempts to set them free from the slavery.

  • “Flee every inordinate affection. Don’t allow the enemy to turn them into an obsession that will suck out your essence and destroy your future. Rather, be obsessed with God and His word.”

MEMORISE: No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.2 Timothy 2:4

    Dealing With Demonic Vexation

  • When the devil decides to torture his victims through vexation, he attacks them intermittently with problems that hurt and embarrass them.
  • To achieve this, the devil assigns a demon or demons to operate in the victim’s life at regular intervals.
  • Some people are perfectly okay in one minute, and in the next minute, they suddenly find themselves in trouble. For example, people with epilepsy are attacked at intervals.
  • The Lord will always arise for those who call upon Him in truth. (Psalm 145:18) Promise Him that you will live according to His will from now on, and call upon Him to deliver you. He will surely rise in your defence.

  • PRAYER POINT: Father, please put an end to every plan of the enemy to vex me or anyone in my family, in Jesus’ name”

MEMORISE: Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.Nehemiah 9:27

    Dealing With Demonic Repression

  • An oppressed person remains stagnant, but a repressed person declines steadily.
  • When the devil represses a person, he causes that fellow to work hard for something and then attacks and leaves the fellow worse off than when he or she started.
  • God’s plan is for you to increase and move from glory to glory, and this will be your portion, in Jesus’ name.

  • PRAYER POINT: Father, please let Your fire destroy any form of repression that might be in my life, in Jesus’ name.”

MEMORISE: Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.Isaiah 49:24-25

    Dealing With Demonic Oppression

  • Deliverance is not only for those who are raving mad or evidently possessed by demons. A person can be under the influence of demonic forces and still look normal. (Mark 1:23-27)
  • The devil and his demons disturb people in different ways, one of which is through oppression.
  • To oppress is to prevent someone or something from rising. It also means to prevent someone or something from increasing. Even ministers of God can be under the devil’s oppression.

  • PRAYER POINT: Father, please deliver me from every demonic oppression that might be hindering my promotion.”

MEMORISE: And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;Judges 6:9

    Understanding Satanic Traps (4)

  • One major tool the devil uses to hypnotise people today and take control of their minds is social media.
  • He pushes certain ideologies to them consistently, and after a while, they begin to think the thoughts that he wants them to think.
  • Things that were considered shameful and an abomination a few decades ago are now seen as normal in society. Many times, the devil sneaks his evil ideas into songs and movies.
  • To avoid this trap of the devil, you must remain in touch with the Holy Spirit at all times by studying the Bible dilig diligently, meditating on it at all times, and praying without ceasing.

  • “Watch, pray, and guard your heart with all diligence (Proverbs 4:23). You must take heed lest you fall (1 Corinthians 10:12)

MEMORISE: Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.Luke 21:36

    Understanding Satanic Traps (3)

  • If a true child of God prays for the deliverance of a slave of the devil, such a slave will be delivered unless the slave refuses God’s deliverance. (Mark 16:17-18)
  • You must fortify yourself spiritually through the spiritual exercise of fasting and prayer to be able to handle some demons.
  • You must ensure that you are not living in disobedience to God’s word. 2 Corinthians 10:6 says that except your obedience is complete, you cannot condemn any disobedience.

  • PRAYER POINT: Father, at this moment, I bind every demon operating in any willing victim of the devil around me, in Jesus’ name.”

MEMORISE: Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.Matthew 18:18
